What Is an Accelerator?
An Accelerator is a customized form of enablement that a GitLab CSA defines and delivers in partnership with your team. Each Accelerator:
- Runs over approximately 12 weeks
- Is scoped to your specific environment, goals, and maturity level
- Follows a four-phase lifecycle: Discovery → Design → Deliver → Measure
- Produces measurable outcomes tracked in a shared GitLab collaboration project
Customer Success is not permitted to be “hands on keyboard” with customers. CSAs provide best practices, architectural guidance, and tailored adoption plans. If a customer needs GitLab to actively implement or configure their environment, that work is handled by Professional Services.

| Discovery | Assess current state, understand business objectives, and define desired outcomes |
| Design | Build a customized enablement plan with milestones and a backlog of tracked issues |
| Deliver | Execute through workshops, hands-on sessions, and async guidance over ~10 weeks |
| Measure | Assess results against defined outcomes, document impact, and plan the next Accelerator |
