Job Grade

The Senior Director, People Strategy & Engagement is a grade 11.

Sr Director, People Strategy & Engagement Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain People Group strategy documentation and enablement, working across the People Group to ensure strategy and direction is understood and departmental priorities match with divisional goals/OKRs.
  • Align all key team member touchpoints and communications across the team member journey with various teams within the People Group for consistency in messaging and assurance that they are in line with our culture and values.
  • Explore new ways to keep team members informed and engaged, recommending solutions to enhance the team member experience and contribute to establishment of a high-performance culture.
  • Engage with appropriate cross-functional teams and external partners to help bring People Group programs to life in creative and innovative ways to maintain high levels of internal engagement.
  • Oversee teams responsible for People Communications & Engagement, Talent Brand, and other team member touchpoints to ensure alignment across teams.

Sr Director, People Strategy & Engagement Requirements

  • Experience working across different hiring cultures and communities and comfortable working in a truly global role
  • Leadership experience (both direct and indirect)
  • You share our values, and work in accordance with those values
  • Excellent organizational, task, and time management skills, with an emphasis on detail and follow up, plus the ability to prioritize tasks and requests from multiple stakeholders and audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization with excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines and business objectives
  • Exhibit strong data skills and ability to influence using data
  • Ability to use, or willingness to learn, GitLab
  • Comfortable in a spokesperson role, ideally with media training/ coaching abilities
  • Experience working with various virtual meeting management tools such as Zoom is a plus
  • Experience in successfully prioritizing, managing multiple projects, and working in a team environment

Job Grade

The VP, People is a grade 12.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Talent Development, People Strategy and Engagement, and Risk and Resilience teams.
  • Owns company-wide cultural initiatives and all key team member touchpoints and communications across the team member
  • Drives alignment of People Group priorities with company strategy as well as Leadership and Cultural needs

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in a range of strategic HR roles with a track record of building and optimizing teams, driving company wide talent strategy, and building and scaling talent programs that drive business results
  • Experience driving cultural intiatives across a complex, global organization
  • Strategic and innovative thinker; able to prioritize in alignment with business strategy
  • Track record of excellence owning, executing, and delivering on complex short- and long-term programs across multiple functions
  • Success building and alignging executive stakeholders in strategic talent decisions including hiring, talent management, talent development, and engagement strategies.
  • You share our values, and work in accordance with those values.
