The Public Sector Field Marketing Manager, US - Public Sector supports our US Public Sector team.

Job Grade

The Public Sector Field Marketing Manager is a grade 6.

Responsibilities

The Public Sector Field Marketing Manager has the same expectations as other Field Marketing Managers, but specializes in the public sector in the United States.

Requirements

The Public Sector Field Marketing Manager has the same requirements as other Field Marketing Managers, as well as additional public sector requirements.

  • Ability to travel when needed (up to 50%) and comply with the company’s travel policy. If employed by GitLab Federal, LLC, team members need to also comply with the applicable vaccination policies.

Additional Requirements for US Public Sector

  • Successful track record working with US Public Sector sales team, distributors, and channel partners.
  • Knowledge of state & local, Civilian, DoD, and Intelligence Community agencies and ability to translate this into a cohesive marketing plan for the Public Sector.

Senior level Requirements for US Public Sector

  • 10+ years of experience building and executing a PubSec strategy.
  • Proven aptitude to build and drive a budget within the territory.
  • Experience in enterprise solution demand creation and field marketing.
  • Orientation to managing program details.

Staff level Requirements for US Public Sector

  • Act as a senior leader to build and co-drive the overall strategy for the US Public Sector business with the PMM PubSec lead.
  • Drive collaboration amongst the team members within the marketing organization who support the US Public Sector business in alignment to overall strategy.
  • Drive ROI check in amongst the team members within the marketing organization who support the US Public Sector business in alignment to overall strategy.
  • Be an active participant in the GitLab Federal LLC board. Presenting at board meetings and collaborating with board members as well as being an advocate for other marketing team members supporting the US Public Sector to have visibility to the board.

Career Ladder

  • Qualified candidates will be invited to schedule a screening call with one of our Global Recruiters.
  • Next, candidates will be invited to schedule a series of 45 minute interviews with the CMO, Director of Field Marketing, regional sales leader, and a seller who they would be paired with.
  • Based on location, candidates may meet in person with any of the above.
  • Finally, our CEO may choose to conduct a final interview.
  • Successful candidates will subsequently be made an offer via email. The total compensation for this role listed in https://about.gitlab.com/job-families/marketing/field-marketing-manager/ is 100% base salary.
