The Security Controls group owns enablement and product-led growth for GitLab security features.

Mission

Own enablement and product-led growth for GitLab security features, including the security inventory, security attributes and project classification, configuration profiles, and the agentic enablement workflows built on top of them.

History

This group was renamed from Security Platform Management in the FY27 Sec reorg. The group::security platform management label was renamed to group::security controls, so the label ID and all attached issues and merge requests carried over and metric history is preserved.
