How to Access Specialist Care

Step 1: Check if your specialist is in the IHP Panel Clinics Directory

Step 2:

  • If your specialist is in the panel: Contact IHP at +64 6715 9422 before your appointment for cashless arrangement
  • If your specialist is not in the panel: Obtain a specialist memo with diagnosis and submit with your claim through the IHP portal

How to Enroll
  • New Team Members: You’ll receive a Singapore Benefits Onboarding Form during your first week. Once completed, our Total Rewards team works with Willis Towers Watson to enroll you in all group plans. Expect underwriting forms from WTW within your first month.
  • Life Changes: Email total-rewards@gitlab.com with updates. When adding dependents, include: Dependent’s full name, Date of birth, NRIC number, Gender Nationality.

Annual Health Screening

GitLab provides all Singapore team members with an annual Executive Health Screening (Premium Scan) through Fullerton Health. This comprehensive screening helps you stay on top of your health with preventive care.

What's Included
  • Executive Health Screening at any Fullerton Health location in Singapore
  • Direct billing to GitLab (not CPF payable)
  • Option to add tests or upgrade at your own cost
  • Benefit renews each calendar year

Life Insurance

GitLab provides company-paid Group Term Life Insurance through HSBC Insurance with coverage of SGD 500,000 per team member.

  • Automatic coverage: SGD 150,000 (no medical questions required)
  • Full coverage: SGD 500,000 (requires completing medical underwriting)

Personal Accident Insurance

Through Zurich Insurance, team members receive SGD 500,000 in personal accident coverage plus valuable extended benefits.

Retirement Planning

Singapore’s Central Provident Fund (CPF) provides comprehensive retirement security. While GitLab doesn’t offer supplementary private pension benefits, the CPF system ensures your long-term financial wellbeing. Learn more at cpf.gov.sg.

Growing Family Leaves

GitLab Singapore combines statutory leave with our global parental leave policy to provide comprehensive support for growing families.

Maternity Leave

Team members employed for at least 3 months before birth may be eligible for the maternity leaves listed below.

Government-Paid Maternity Leave (16 weeks)
  • 1st and 2nd births: 8 weeks employer-paid + 8 weeks government-paid
  • 3rd+ births: 16 weeks government-paid
  • First 8 weeks must be continuous; remaining weeks flexible within 12 months of birth
  • Eligible team members receive concurrent GitLab Parental Leave
Employment Act Maternity Leave (12 weeks)
  • 8 weeks paid + 4 weeks unpaid
  • With GitLab Parental Leave, eligible team members receive up to 16 weeks paid
How to Apply
  1. Submit “Parental Leave” request in Workday at least 30 days before leave
  2. Send GPML Declaration Form to leaves@gitlab.com
  3. GitLab handles government reimbursement claims

Paternity Leave

Team members employed for at least 3 months before due date may receive:

  • 4 weeks government-paid paternity leave
  • Up to 16 weeks total when combined with GitLab Parental Leave for eligible team members
How to Apply
  1. Submit “Parental Leave” request in Workday
  2. Send GPPL Declaration Form to leaves@gitlab.com

Time off Policies

Annual Leave

  • Holiday allowance: Holiday allowance: After 3 months of employment, accrual rates will be based on tenure. Team members are allowed to carry over unused vacation up to the statutory accrual limit based on tenure.

    • 1 year of service: 7 days/year
    • 2 years of service: 8 days/year
    • 3 years of service: 9 days/year
    • 4 years of service: 10 days/year
    • 5 years of service: 11 days/year
    • 6 years of service: 12 days/year
    • 7 years of service: 13 days/year
    • 8 years of service: 14 days/year
  • Runs concurrently with GitLab PTO

  • Enter time off in Workday using “Paid Time Off” option

  • Coordinate with your team to ensure coverage

  • Unused leave requires approval to carry forward

Other Leave Entitlements

As provided under Singapore law (Child Development Co-Savings Act and the Employment Act):

  • Outpatient sick leave
  • Hospitalization leave
  • Adoption leave
  • Childcare and extended childcare leave
  • Unpaid infant care leave
  • Shared parental leave
