Secrets Manager (OpenBAO) Team
The Secrets Manager (OpenBAO) team builds and operates the OpenBAO backend behind GitLab Secrets Manager and contributes upstream.
Mission
Build and operate the GitLab Secrets Manager product, and contribute upstream.
The OpenBAO team owns the OpenBAO backend that stores and serves secrets, including the GitLab deployment of it and the contributions made back to the upstream project.

This team was created in the FY27 Sec reorg as a split of the former Pipeline Security
group. The group::pipeline security label history stayed with the
Application team,
so OpenBAO metrics start at the reorg cutover.
